Job Description:

Review and evaluate work perpared by Staff Accountant
Reconciliation of certain Balance Sheet Accounts
Preparation of reports and documents for management and external sources to include Regulatory Agencies (FCC,USAC and local PSC)
Respond to inquiries from AR and AP and other departments as it relates to Billing and Revenues issues.
Prepare Journal Vouchers and other month-end reporting requirments
Review month end Trend Reports and Trial Balance.

Assist with Special Projects as required by Management

Knowledge of FCC chart of Accounts (a plus)

Skills Required

B A in Accounting
At least five years accounting experienceUnderstanding the principals of Accounting and GAAP ( Telecom accounting a plus)
Knowledge and experience with Accounting Software (MAS 200 a plus)
Ability to analyze financial data, prepare Financial Statements and explain variances from Budget and prior periods.
Must be a good planner, well organized and can multi-task
Ability to problem solve and think critically
Good written and verbal communication skills
