Job Description:
IP Network Manager General Purpose and Scope To provide installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of all IP core related equipment and the provisioning of IP services. Duties and Responsibilities · Make recommendations for the procurement of network equipment · Interfaces with ARIN for the declaration and procurement of IP address space · Maintain proper and accurate registry of all IP address usage · Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshoot all procured Cisco IP network equipment including software patches, hardware failures etc. · Provide backup configuration of all Cisco and related network equipment for restoration when necessary · Develop MOPs for moves, adds and changes, and schedule maintenance windows for implementation · Conduct Root Cause Analysis to problems, document solutions and implement the same · Installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of Network Management Platforms e.g. Nagios, OpenNMS · Configure and maintain firewalls and VPN tunnels to provide secure remote access to and from Choice’s Network · Configure and maintain access lists and policy route maps for IP or higher level source routing · Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and OSPF · Configure and troubleshoot spanning tree · Provide assistance for Dragon Wave and Redline Microwave integration into data network · Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of QoS for different traffic types and customer types · Provision IP connectivity and services to enterprise customer and assist in troubleshooting issues · Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of the Choice MPLS network · Development and implementation of traffic shaping policies using Sandvine Analytics · Backbone band usage analysis and recommendations · Maintenance of DNS, DHCP, Mail and dialup servers · Provide Tier 3 Customer support · Any additional network related duties that may be assigned from time to time |
