Job Description:
Job Title: Site Engineer / Maintenance Manager
Summary:
A major St. Thomas resort property is looking for an experienced and qualified Site Engineer to manage regular maintenance and repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Develops and executes comprehensive maintenance plan for buildings and overall facility including all equipment requirements, labor hours, cost controls and operating costs.
Coordinates and executes maintenance schedule for all facility and equipment, ensuring established quality standards are maintained and that quality and delivery commitments are met.
Oversees visual inspection of buildings and manages testing of machinery and equipment, maintaining detailed records on equipment performance and maintenance.
Coordinates the installation and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Manages the removal of defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts per the capital improvement plan.
Executes general repair of the physical structure of establishment, marina boats and golf carts gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Routinely operates, motor and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment.
Provides general security and supports marina and facility security teams in their security related efforts; reports disturbances in dock area to superiors and maintains general vigilance.
Knowledge and experience with AC cooling towers and large power generators required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages subordinate employees as required.Responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of team.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience:Two year Associate Degree in Facility Management or Technical area of expertise; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Prior supervisory experience is required.Knowledge of general preventive maintenance methodologies.Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office.
