SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - ECR

Band: Sales & Customer Service                                           Reports To: Unit Supervisor

Job Summary
The Service Representative provides efficient and effective service to the Branch clients, satisfying their needs and complying with all the applicable programs, policies, procedures and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities
• Complies with all relative laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending and Community Reinvestment Act.
• Attends and serves clients by receiving and disbursing monetary values.
• Process monetary transactions, including but not limited to cashing checks and money orders, deposits and withdrawals to savings and checking accounts; cash advances.
• Performs mechanized transactions/entries to the organization’s informational systems, including but not limited to daily tallies and debits/credits.
• Applies security measures such as verification of clients’ identity, counting money prior to inputting and disbursing, and notifying management of all irregularities.
• Applies internal control measures, including but not limited to maintenance of cash registrar quantity as established and referring transactions when authorization is needed.
• Complies with the Branch Selling Culture, goals, working plans and administrative procedures, including but not limited to the Total Quality Program.
• Performs end of day activities to verify daily tallies and final register balances, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
• Performs administrative duties, including but not limited to preparing daily transactions documents, money counting and tallying, and filing documents.
• Performs scanning of work, efficiently and effectively, ensuring accurate and timely capturing of daily work and adhering to the established service quality requirements.
• Informs management of every $10,000.00 or more transaction and completes the FINCEN 104, CTR Information Forms on a daily basis and in accordance with the guiding policies and procedures.

Other Responsibilities
• Assists management and supervisor with special projects and tasks as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Independence of Judgment
The degree of judgment is limited to very specific transactional activities for which the employee has been trained to perform; exercise very little to no independent discretion; seeks guidance and direction from management when activities exceed established authorities.


Skills Required

Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma from an accredited institution and Technical courses related to the banking industry or an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
• Six months client service or bank teller experience
• Experience in assessing clients needs to promote, refer or cross sell various bank products and services
• Successful completion of the organization’s placement test and training program
• Ability to work flexible and non-traditional hours, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays
