Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following: · Undergraduate degree in relevant subject (accounting or finance preferred). · CPA encouraged. · 3 years of meaningful, relevant experience (accounting/operations) in similar business is strongly desired (private equity/leveraged finance/hedge fund or similar), public accounting background in financial services is helpful but not required. · High skill level in Excel a must, proficiency in Wall Street Office, Solomon, FRX or similar packages is a strong plus. Candidate Attributes The successful candidate must possess the following: · Must be meticulous, detail-focused and consistently accurate. · Exceptional team orientation – this is vital in being a successful member of the Fund Accounting team as well as working closely with Operations, Investor Relations, Treasury, etc. · High level of motivation; be a self-starter and results oriented. Comfortable working in a fluid environment under the direction of various team members depending on the task at hand. · Excellent analytical skills and strong accounting skills and instincts. · Capacity to be a deep thinker – need to operationalize complex partnership agreements and account for investments, incentive fee arrangements, partner allocations, etc. · Capacity and passion for being part of a fast-growing, small-office environment – requiring outstanding interpersonal skills, strong intellect and appropriate self confidence. · Ability to learn and adapt to the changes of a fast-growing environment. · Ability to excel at day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to driving process improvement, standardization and automation |
