Jr. Fund Accountant positionwill report to the Senior Accountant and interact with multiple departments inclusive of Finance and Operations. The Accountant ‘s primaryresponsibility is Accounts Payable but will also work on various accounting and administrative projects.
Responsibilitiesareinclusiveof but are not limited to the following:
Perform full cycle accounts payable, maintenance, and analysis.
Review invoices to ensureproper documentationandapprovals prior to processing payment.
Process checks and wire request.
Research/resolve and reconcile vendor inquiries and payables.
Bank reconciliations andbudget projections.
Assist in month end closing .
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices .
Assist with other projects as needed .
Skills Required
Degree in Accounting and formal experience in use of accounting principles/financial analysis.
Demonstrated professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
Good time management and prioritizing skills.
Keen on accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to achieve departmental/organizational goals.
Strong reconciliation skills .
Prior Accounts Payable experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge andexperience inuse of Solomon accounting software preferred
