Job Description:

Position Summary:

Develop, maintain and monitor various system applications to ensure capability, functionality and accuracy of information reported through both interpretation and analysis. Responsible for data preparation, data analysis, campaign execution, report building, etc. Work with other staff members to satisfy ad-hoc analysis needs. Analyze, recommend, and initiate business solutions to meet business and client needs.

Essentail Functions:

  • Maximize the success of existing credit bureaus, data verification sources, and marketing channels by acting as primary day-to-day contact for compliance and execution.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot problems with data sources and marketing channels, identify new component innovations, and complete data studies to refine existing scorecards for optimal performance. Suggest changes to better optimize customer acceptance against risk exposure.
  • Maintain appropriate reporting risk management effectiveness within each loan portfolio as well as for specific marketing channels and campaigns. This includes the analysis of application trends, risk assesment, management reporting, financial/operational reporting, and compliance reporting. Reporting maintained to generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual results as required.
  • Review samples of bad loans to determine trends and characteristics to create new underwriting rules, prescreens, and procedures. Regular analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) including, specific denial code analysis. Closely monitor marketing channels and conduct campaign optimization to ensure desired results are achieved.
  • Document and maintain all procedures, scorecards, underwriting steps, and modifications to marketing campaigns and channels. Perform routine auditing to ensure 3rd party underwriting vendors maintain data integrity and compliance. Maintain activity log and specific details regarding underwrting procedural changes. Work with operations teams and training staff to implement new underwriting or verification procedures and guidelines.
  • Track results through reviews of KPI changes.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 0 - 2 years experience, credit risk or financial services

Computer Software/Hardware:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Access or other database software packages
  • Underwriting software, database programming language e.g. VBA, Lua, SQL
  • SAS or other analytics software packages

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, talking, hearing constantly.
  • Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs
  • Must be able to sit in front of computer monitor(s) daily
  • Noise level - moderate noise level daily in an office atmosphere
