§Plan and design Central Office, Outside Plant, CPE facilities including but not limited to field survey, provisioning, special circuits, and digital loop carrier application. Design and implement HFC and cable TV distribution systems.
§Design FTTH, GPON, Ethernet, DSL and video applications.
§Develop cost estimates for projects and routine work orders to include design and closeout of As-built facilities.
§Responsible for preparation, acquisitions, of all private, public and federal Right of Way and easement permits.
§Develop long range fundamental plans.
§Perform other duties and responsiblities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned.
Skills Required
§A technical degree in Engineering or at least 5 years experience within the telecommunications industry-engineering field.
§Must be familiar with National Safety and Electrification codes
§Proficient reading and comprehension, with sufficient knowledge of RUS standards, and Cable TV symbols.
§Satisfactory knowledge of circuit design and application, as well as OSP facilities construction, and technical standards.
§Proficient computer knowledge and skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
