Job Description:
Position Summary:The Clinical Care Coordinator assumes the responsibility of developing and implementing the philosophy and objective of the Hospital and the Nursing Department.The CCC administers, directs and coordinates activities of nursing and patient care services.Supervises both administrative and clinical functions for the purpose of providing safe and competent care to the patient.Collaborates with other health disciplines and supportive services in coordinating and supervising the management of the units and patient care delivery.Direct supervision is received from the Vice-President of Patient Care/Nursing Services or designee, and keeps the VP of Patient Care/Nursing Services, informed of both progress and potential problems of patient care delivery.
Skills Required
Hazards & Physical Requirements:Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids.Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 20 lbs on an occasional basis.Education & Experience:Must have graduated from High School or obtained GED.Must have successfully completed an approved school of Nursing and successfully passed the licensure exam.Must have a current VI RN license.
Specific Requirements:Current AHA BLS certification, ACLS certification.Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.
