Graduate of an accredited school of psychology, social work, professional counseling or related field and eligible for licensure in the Virgin Islands. Two or more years experience in a mental health or education setting working with children and/or adolescents. OR Undergraduate degree of an accredited school of psychology, social work, professional counseling or related field. Four or more years experience in a mental health or education setting working with children and/or adolescents.  Applicants hired with these qualifications will be expected to be engaged in or able to start working on their Masters degree or equivalent within 18 months of hire.

A short term residential evaluation unit designed to respond to youths between the ages of five and seventeen years who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral difficulties.

Currently running several programs that provide respite care for children in foster care who are in crisis. VIBS is designed to provide professional residential treatment and counseling services in a family atmosphere. The therapeutic environment fosters positive self-esteem, respect for others and acceptance of responsibility for one's behavior.

VIBS also provides a secure treatment environment for severely traumatized and extremely impulsive adolescent females. VIBS provides a healing environment that can foster recovery from trauma and develop new behavioral, emotional and life skill strategies to alter their dysfunctional life styles.
