Job Description:
Position Summary:The Administrator of the Hemodialysis Unit is responsible and accountable for the management of the dialysis unit and the provision of all dialysis services, including but not limited to staff appointments, fiscal operations, relationship with Renal network and allocation of necessary resources for the unit’s quality assessment/performance improvement program(QAPI),and is responsible for the development, administration and management of the unit’s Performance Improvement Program and it’s scope of practice which encompasses data aggregation and analysis to facilitate process improvement and quality outcomes. This individual is also responsible for monitoring compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements; assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and respective Department.
Education & Experience:Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school and hold current registration as required in the VI in respective area. Professional Nurse and Masters Degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of Nursing experience, preferably with clinical involvement in Unit management/Administration is required.

Specific Requirements: Knowledge of methods of statistical analysis, data collection and presentation, word processing, and proficient in Microsoft Office. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication-verbal and written, organizational, analytical and presentation skills. Must possess excellent customer service skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients and families and other departments. Must have strong background in finance/budgeting/billing.Demonstrate knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS,OSHA and TARC standards and regulations.Demonstrates skill in establishing/implementing policies/procedures.
Hazards & Physical Requirements:Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 20 lbs on an occasional basis.
