Undergraduate or Associate degree in health related field, education, recreation, psychology, social services or related field.  OR High school diploma or equivalent and four or more years direct care experience in education, recreation, juvenile/domestic relations or psychiatric care working with adolescents.One year direct care experience working with children or adolescents preferred for undergraduate degree; two or more years direct care experience required for an associate degree bearer; and four or more years direct care experience for high school diploma bearer. Psychiatric or residential care experience preferred.  One year supervisory experience required. Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, as relates to adolescents, therapeutic processes, growth and development of adolescents, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behaviors, CPR, First Aide, and Food Handler's card.

A short term residential evaluation unit designed to respond to youths between the ages of five and seventeen years who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral difficulties.

Currently running several programs that provide respite care for children in foster care who are in crisis. VIBS is designed to provide professional residential treatment and counseling services in a family atmosphere. The therapeutic environment fosters positive self-esteem, respect for others and acceptance of responsibility for one's behavior.

VIBS also provides a secure treatment environment for severely traumatized and extremely impulsive adolescent females. VIBS provides a healing environment that can foster recovery from trauma and develop new behavioral, emotional and life skill strategies to alter their dysfunctional life styles.
