Job Code #320041.The Nursing Division is seeking candidates who will teach 24 credits per academic year in Pediatric Nursing and other basic nursing courses in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Duties involve teaching, providing academic advice and counsel to students, participating in program and Division governance activities, participating in program development and activities to assure continued NLNAC accreditation, as well as other related University and Division assignments. Appointees must be able to work productively with students and colleagues of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Skills Required
A Master's degree with a specialty in Pediatric Nursing and clinical experience is required. A Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred. Applicants should possess previous experience in collegiate teaching, familiarity with NLNAC accreditation processes and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
Rank and compensation will be based on academic preparation, teaching and practical experience. Benefits include a generous TIAA/CREF or Virgin Islands Government Retirement Plan, as well as a comprehensive group medical and dental insurance plan.
If applicable, economy airfare to St. Thomas and shipping allowance of up to $1,250 will be paid by the University upon presentation of receipts.
