Responsibilities include:
· Clean fermenters in an effort to get them ready to be filled.
· Sterilize various seed tanks in preparation for use.
· Adjust mixture of molasses and water to fill various vessels within the process.
· Monitor and maintain required sugar levels, nutrients, and antibiotics throughout the fermentation process.
· Adjust valves and hoses to fermenters for processing by beer still.
· Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.
· Complete other duties as assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.
Minimum requirements:
· Must have good mathematical skills, be adept at estimating process timing, read gauges and be able to read and write legibly.
· Must be familiar with the basic concept of fermentation.
· Must be familiar with the sterilization process and the operational procedures required to achieve this.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to work around machinery with moving parts.
· Must be able to work weekends and overtime hours.
