Job Description:The employee in this classification is responsible for all aspects of help desk, hardware, software, networking, data communications, Telecommunications, and IT issues for this office, as well as any satellite locations.The employee works closely with the Office Manager to meet the needs of the office.
Job Duties may include but are not limited to:
Networking:
Manages administration and maintenance; makes additions, deletions and major modifications to the IT infrastructure.
Work with contracted vendor(s) to assist with the IT management and functions of this or any satellite location.
Maintain network security at all levels.
Telephony:
Manage the company’s telephone system.
Training and Maintenance:
Oversees, monitors, and improves Informational Technology operational procedures and tasks at office.
Performs maintenance duties for all computer stations and software; provides additional support if necessary.
Provides ongoing software support and training to new and existing users.
Coordinates the service and maintenance of copy machines, printers, FAX machines and telephone system.
Orders supplies for the copy machine, printers, and FAX machines.
Internal Systems:
Oversee troubleshooting, archiving, and disaster recovery; provide additional support when necessary.
Performs daily server backups; removes the tape and external hard drive on a daily basis from the premises.
Installs and upgrades hardware/software on client and server systems.
Uses technical, analytical expertise, and knowledge of systems to resolve problems internally and through outside vendors/manufacturers.
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Hardware and Software:
Stays current with hardware and software developments to enhance the organizations systems.
Builds and maintains vendor relationships; makes recommendations regarding the purchase of hardware and software products.
Help Desk Administration:
Provides desktop hardware/software support including configuration and troubleshooting.
Provides on-site technical support and maintenance to resolve data and voice systems problems.
