Job Description:

Position summary: This Director of Analytics position is responsible for mining, organizing, analyzing complex business and technical data, presenting conclusions and making solid recommendations to Sr. and Executive Leadership. Utilize skills to routinely monitor and automate analytics to streamline business process. Provide recommendations for strategy and process improvement.  Essential Functions: 

  • Analyze and interprets data using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently. Documents, findings, present and make recommendations to Sr. Management.
  • Compiles reports, charts and tables based on established statistical methods.
  • Develops data models to meet the needs of the organizations information systems.
  • Oversees project lifecycle of data studies, new technology interrogation, or any other projects related to risk or analytics.
  • Deliver written project plans to set expectations and gain strategic agreement.
  •  Interface with IT systems personnel for timely accurate implementation of underwriting solutions. Gather requirements for new or modified software systems enhancements and/or integration solutions.
  • Conduct and analyze business and information technology processes and prepare essential groundwork.  Make recommendations for necessary changes on projects that come from other departments.

 Experience and Education:  Bachelor's Degree; Finance, Computer Information Systems, or Statistics a Plus!Minimum 5 years experience, financial services, Information TechnologyAnalytics Experience (organizing data)1-3 Years Creating Automated Reporting (for an enterprise)Proven experience working with large data sets, mining & forecastingFinancial industries experience a Plus!Management & Supervisory skills a Plus!! Computer Software/Hardware: Technical Skills:·         General-Purpose programming languages (C++, Visual Basic etc.)·         Data Processing & Statistical Analysis languages (SAS, FoxPro, Stata,etc.)·         Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Physical Requirements:  Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, talking, hearing constantly.Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. on occasionMust be able to sit in front of computer monitor (s) dailySitting and or standing for long periods of time.Noise level: moderate noise level daily in an office atmosphere.
