KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES · Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations; · Ability to communicate with parents, building level employees and central office; · Ability to write concise reports, carry out instructions and develop comprehensive plans with minimum supervision; · Knowledgeable of approaches for involving parents, family and community to support interventions strategies; · Ability to interpret laws and policies pertaining to learning, discipline and social needs of students; · Ability to exhibit consistency, resourcefulness and flexibility; · Knowledge of VIDE policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures; · Sound organizational and planning skills with a solid attention to detail; · Demonstrates ability to organize, coordinate, and execute on details; · Demonstrates ability to effectively manage and participate in multiple intervention initiatives; · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, facilitate groups and meetings; · Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment in carrying out functions of the position; · Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; · Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with all stakeholders. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively more responsible work where the primary aspects of employment were related to providing positive behavioral support; or Master’s Degree in Education or related field and three (3) to five (5) years of progressively more responsible work where the primary aspects of employment were related to providing positive behavioral support. |
