DUTIES AND RESPOSNIBILITES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)

·    Oversee all aspects of the T&FASEG;

·    Provide leadership and management of a three-year Federally-funded grant;

·    Write reports, complete procurement processes, and complete other duties related to the management of a Federal grant;

·    Attend technical assistance meetings with USDOE and partners;

·    Supervise the Program manager of TPQ and the implementation of the TPQ portion of the grant;

·    Write reports, complete procurement processes, and complete other duties related to the management of a Federal grant;

·    Collaborate with territory and district staff, outside consultants and local teachers to support their use of technology in the delivery of curricula through a variety of instructional methods;

·    Work with teachers, students, and families toward integrating the use of hardware, software and Internet resources in support of student learning;

·    Assisting teachers in meeting territory and national standards for subject-area and technology-learning objectives;

·    Create learning resources for teachers, staff and students, such as websites, tutorials, interactive programs and databases that support teachers in integrating technology;

·    Consult on the technology budget for computer resources, including hardware, software, learning resources and training needs;

·    Research, recommend and , in some cases, requisition hardware, software and related resources; identify trends in software, curriculum, teaching strategies and other education areas;

·    Assist in assessing technology skill levels of students, teachers and staff;

·    Lead planning processes for technology integration professional development;

·    Participate in staff and committee meetings as required;

·    Assist in grant writing as need;

 

·    Perform other duties as assigned. 


Skills Required

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         Has basic understanding of Federal grants processes and requirements;

·         Has knowledge of Federal and private resources for technology and teacher quality;

·         Uses effective organizational skills to coordinate programs and supervise staff;

·         Is able to present information to various audiences using clear and effective communication tools;

·         Is able to organize complex tasks and establish and maintain schedules;

·         Is committed to ongoing personal professional development;

·         Possesses the personal characteristics to be a positive force in the decision-making process with skills in problem solving and consensus building;

·         Has knowledge of standards and curriculum development processes;

·         Is proficient in technology integration;

·         Is able to be resource on current educational research in instructional technology.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Master’s Degree or higher in education technology and three (3) years of successful experience in teaching, consulting or related technology integration experience.  Experience in managing Federal grants would be an asset.
