Laboratory Management

· Lab Supervision – Directly Manage and Train the Laboratory Technician.  Testing Requirements – Oversee all laboratory testing and complete testing as needed.  Equipment Maintenance & Calibration – Ensure that all laboratory equipment is kept clean, serviced, and calibrated.

· Supply Management – Manage and maintain stock for all laboratory supplies, including working with vendors to ensure best pricing and delivery options. Chemical Management – Ensure compliance with all EHS requirements for chemical storage and usage.

· Housekeeping – Ensure that 5S/ Cleanliness standards for the laboratory are maintained

Product Quality

· Quality Standards – Ensure that all finished products produced meet specification.  Monitor quality of raw and in-process materials.  Customer Support – Provide required assistance to ensure that customer requirements are met.

· Documentation – Create and distribute Certificates of Analysis as needed.  Customer Satisfaction - assist with the documentation, mitigation, investigation and corrective actions related to customer concerns.

Quality Program Implementation and Compliance

· IMS Management Support.  Substitute QMR – Maintain system knowledge and participate in audits to act as the substitute Quality Management Representative when the QMR is unavailable.  Critical Equipment Compliance – Ensure that all facility records for critical equipment calibration are kept up to date.  Document Control – Act as resource for document control throughout the facility.  Assist other departments with the understanding and maintaining the requirements of document control. 

· Protocol Implementation – Act as a key resource in the writing, review, and continuous evaluation of quality control and environmental testing protocols.  Quality Metrics – Track, Report and assist with the development and review of quality program metrics. Technical Support – Offer technical support to the facility including process trouble shooting, providing training on technical topics (ex. Equipment, QC Processes, IMS Requirements), and assistance with small equipment (pH meters, DMA’s, etc) maintenance.  EHS Program Support – Provide support to EHS programs by completing sampling and testing to maintain compliance with the applicable regulations.

· Continual Improvement Initiatives – Participate and provide quality leadership support for all continual improvement initiatives within the facility. 

· Interact positively with visitors to the Cruzan Rum Distillery including visitors to the tour program, corporate visitors, and VIPs. 

· Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities

· Other duties as assigned
