Job Description:

The medical receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer while assisting the chiropractor with patient needs.  Providing excellent customer service requires efficiency, professionalism, compassion and superior communication skills.  This position necessitates an ability to multi-task and a keen eye for small details.  This position is operated with little supervision, so the receptionist must be driven and self-motivated.  On a daily basis, the receptionist/assistant will answer a multi-line phone, make appointments, assist patients with questions, organize the daily schedule, support the chiropractor with patient care, maintain cleanliness, restock items, file paperwork and folders, take payments, provide management with daily financial report, complete opening/closing procedures, communicate with the insurance and billing department, and any other task required.      


Skills Required

Experience in a busy office setting is required, with a preference for experience in a medical office.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.  The ability to multi-task while maintaining efficiency and quality work is imperative to this position.  Detail-oriented is an absolute must! Basic computer skills are needed in order to successfully navigate through our medical software.  Being self-motivated with the desire to learn are two skills that are also sought for this position.  The ability to be flexible is important, for every day is not the same.  Prior experience with patient care is preferred, but not required; we will train the right person for this position.  While this position is mostly self-directed, there is an important element of team work required to maintain the success of the practice, so the ability to take direction and work within a team is highly desired.  Organization is a key component to keeping the office running smoothly!  Being positive and compassionate are two aspects of this position, as well.
