Job Description:

Under direct supervision, this employee will perform responsible and specialized clerical work in the Patient Accounts Department.

Responsible for charge entry of the assigned nursing units
Answers telephones and assist customers
Ensures that all charges are captured for assigned units
Assists with data gathering for research on Craneware findings
Ability to understand departmental regulations, practices and procedures prescribed for the billing of services rendered
Ability to make basic and accurate arithmetic computations
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and all other persons contacted during work
Ability to follow simple, oral, and written directions.
Performs other related work as assigned.

Skills Required

Ability to understand departmental regulations, practices and procedures prescribed for the billing of services rendered

Ability to make basic and accurate arithmetic computations

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and all other persons contacted during work

Ability to follow simple, oral, and written directions.

Graduation from the twelfth grade; Bilingual preferred.
