Job Title: Data Entry Clerk (Government Contractor) Work Schedule: Full-Time Location: Kingshill, St. Croix (US Virgin Islands Army National Guard) Start Date: Immediate Opening/Hire Who May Apply: All U.S. Citizens Key Requirement: Must possess a security clearance; OR be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The incumbent of this position will provide support to the Deputy State Surgeon, US Virgin Islands Army National Guard . As Data Entry Clerk, the incumbent will perform the following tasks: - Extract required data elements from soldier personnel and medical files and input that information into medical databases.
- Interact with other departments to resolve problems and inquiries, and to establish and maintain efficient data and information flow.
- Resolve problems and inconsistencies with data perform limited data analysis, and prepare and generate various reports.
- Review and update current information.
- Prepare reports.
- Input and retrieve alphabetical and numerical data in prescribed format, utilizing knowledge of various computer software packages.
- Create, maintain, and purge specified data files and logs as required; and make individual and/or mass corrections, modifications and/or updates to data in files, as appropriate.
- Extract and release information according to specific criteria and in strict compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations; answer questions from client departments and others on specific data as requested, and prepare reports, as specified.
- Handle all of the information from the databases containing personnel Privacy Act and HIPPA protected information as sensitive data and comply with provisions established by those regulations.
Administrative Duties, at a minimum include: - Preparing and send correspondence as directed by Deputy State Surgeon, ensuring compliance with current regulations, policies and directives.
- Answer inquiries relating to administrative policies and procedures.
- Review outgoing correspondence for completeness, grammatical accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and conformance with current policy and required format.
- Maintain office files in accordance with applicable regulations and ensure timely response to suspense actions. e. Receive incoming mail and make proper distribution.
- Prepare and distribute required forms and documents as directed.

- Residents of the Virgin Islands
