Job Description:

Maintains plumbing equipment in good condition; Repairs and installs hospital’s plumbing systems and equipment;
Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, and safety;
Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests plumbing equipment and systems using appropriate tools and testing instruments;
Replaces faulty piping and other simple elements of plumbing systems;
Measures, cuts, threads, and installs plumbing lines;
Connects piping to fixtures;
Runs piping or lines where needed to expand service range;
Participates and conducts monthly and weekly fire pump and sprinkler tests and participates in fire alarm drills and fire codes;
Inspects and performs safety tests on plumbing, emergency pumping systems, hot water systems, and sprinkler systems;
Keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe;
Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies;
Maintains all required records and information pertinent to costing out work assignments;
Participates in all educational programs and in-service meetings;
Attends meetings as required;
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Skills Required

High School Diploma or equivalent as well as Plumber’s or Contractor’s License
