Job Description:
Purpose and Scope: The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for the daily on-site operations of the Photography, Medallion Mint, and any other Ancillary business development in partnership with the Store Manager, to include labor scheduling, maintaining supplies, generating reports and supervision of the staff. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for ensuring retail merchandise is stocked, receiving merchandise is priced correctly, and presenting the Store Manager with merchandise needs and suggestions. The Assistant Retail Manager will collaborate with the Store Manager, and the WTC Senior Photo Manager to develop business strategies to drive sales through local events and normal, daily operation. Setting pricing to maximize sales and development of promotional offerings will be an important part of driving customer capture. Photo Operations, Medallion Mints and all other ancillary business are an extension of the guest experience at the facility. Training the retail staff to respond to any disruption of their experience with our ancillary partners is a key part of the responsibility. Supervision and Guidance: Reports to Store Manager and seeks guidance from the WTC Senior Photo Manager Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for Daily Operation of all Ancillary business lines, including: Photo Operations, Medallion Mints and all other ancillary business.
- Responsible for timely revenue collection and related documentation, based upon the standard practice for each Ancillary line.
- Work with the Store Manager on staffing needs and assist with the recruiting process.
- Will train the team to proactively acknowledge, engage, and interact with all guests, and provide stellar Guest Service.
- Ensure all required supplies are properly inventoried and ordered as needed.
- Complete all required reporting in the prescribed timeframe.
- Build & maintain interdepartmental relationships.
- Responsible for keeping sites presentable with preparedness, cleaning, and organization along with ensuring all equipment is handled safely and with care.
- Drive capture rate by assisting, promoting and invite guests to include our ancillary experiences as part of their day.
- Working with Marketing ensure all signage and programs are well communicated. .
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments as required by facility opportunities.
- Ensure all merchandise shelves are stocked, receiving merchandise is priced correctly, and preform cycle counts as needed.
- Compile a written weekly list of merchandise needs and suggestions and discuss with the Store Manager.
- Perform other duties as required.
