Job Description:

Sherwin Williams, a leader in the paint and coatings industry has an opportunity for a Store Manager in St. Thomas. In this hands-on position in our Wholesale/Retail store location you will be responsible for all aspects of store operations, customer service, marketing, merchandising, staffing, inventory and employee training. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing store business plan based on market conditions, store mission and financial/budget objectives.
  • Conducting sales calls outside of the store to support business plan development.
  • Ensuring all customer orders are accurately prepared, delivered and records maintained.
  • Maintaining appropriate product inventory levels according to company guidelines.
  • Determine staffing needs and establish work schedules as appropriate.
  • Recruitment and training of store staff as required.


Skills Required

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent. Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in a business related field. 
  • Leadership, management, organizational and problem solving skills.   
  • Employee is required to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion. Must be able to lift 50lbs from floor level to 4ft high.  May assist with handling drums of material or other material and equipment (spray rigs) in excess of 100 lbs.with equipment or assistance.
  • Employee will spend approximately  10% of the day sitting,  40% standing, 40% walking and 10% stooping, climbing and kneeling.
  • Employee is required to tint paint and match color samples, therefore, must have good color perception.
  • Employee must be able to drive a car or van.
  • Employee must be able to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment in stores equipped with such equipment.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
  • Must be able to travel within continental United States.
