The Process Technician is primarily responsible for the development, production and quality control of our proprietary antimicrobial materials in an ISO 13485 medical device environment at the new Sterisil International St. Croix facility. Our clientele primarily consists of personnel at U.S. military bases (CONUS and OCONUS), VA hospitals, U.S. dental schools, private practice dental offices and international dental dealers.
Sterisil International will produce a proprietary broad ranging antimicrobial active ingredient for the pharmaceutical industry as well as non-humidity sensitive products for Sterisil, Inc. Sterisil offers innovative dental unit waterline infection control merchandise and equipment. These products represent years of research and development using the most stringent requirements as established by experts in the dental unit waterline treatment industry and practicing dentists. We offer a full lineup of the only dental water line treatment and disinfection products with a registered EPA quantified claim of less than or equal to 10 CFU/ml of HPC bacteria. This is fifty times lower than the CDC and ADA registered limits. Sterisil's merchandise and equipment product line includes shock tablets, daily maintenance tablets, 1 year Sterisil Straws, Sterisil Cartridges for bottle-less municipal dental operatory units and finally the Sterisil System. Our products come from a scientific approach and have been evaluated by the ADA in conjunction with the Institue for Biofilm Research at Montana State and Loma Linda University. Job Description:
The Process Technician will help develop, manage and execute plans, policies and procedures for the proprietary active ingredient production in the newly opened Sterisil International facility. Must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks in a demanding on-time and on-focus environment. This position has a wide degree of creativity, responsibility and autonomy.
Skills Required
Specific Duties Include:
Manage and execute necessary and appropriate conditions to manufacture high quality and viable proprietary active ingredient per predetermined and agreed upon parameters for use in our products
Perform product QC testing
Assist in development and implementation of the production schedule
Track and manage necessary inventory for active ingredient production to ensure timely receipt of materials
Analyze, diagnose and provide solutions for inconsistencies in production
Follow and maintain ISO 13485 medical device standards
Desired Skills and Experience:
Minimum Associate's Degree in Process Technology
Preferred degree in Chemistry, Biology or Engineering
1 -2 years' experience working with industrial and/or chemical processes
Comfortable working in a dynamic, challenging environment
Strong trouble shooting and resolution skills a must
Very detail oriented and organized
Superior time management skills a must
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Clear background check
Non-smoker is required
