Job Description:

. Position Summary:  This position functions as the Compliance Officer for Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP.  The purpose of the position is to continue to develop, implement, revise and help oversee the Corporate Compliance Program for the benefit of Cane Bay Partners’ clients.  Responsibilities include maintaining and expanding visibility for the Corporate Compliance Program; training management and company employees regarding the Company’s Corporate Compliance Program; recommending and implementing compliance initiatives which match the consumer finance regulatory environment; evaluating client processes for compliance impact. This position must understand and work with Federal laws regarding consumer finance including but not limited to  Reg Z (TILA), Reg E, FDCPA, UDAAP, and ECOA. Essential Functions:  

  • Develop, maintain and advise the Company with respect to the implementation and/or operation of an effective compliance program.
  • Implement, facilitate and/or support specific compliance audits and examinations for Cane Bay Partners and its employees and clients.
  • Recommend solutions to and initiate corrective action concerning any identified exposure/defective processes.
  • Record, track, and monitor Compliance Program meetings and operations.
  • Prepare written materials and training programs, compliance reports, and presentations.
  • Track changes in pertinent US and overseas laws and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain contract management, company qualification and maintenance of corporate books and records.
  • Contract Management; ability to write manuals for CFPB compliance
  • Ability to write meeting minutes and maintain corporate books.

  Experience and Education:  
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited undergraduate program required; advance degree recommended.
  • Law degree highly preferred
  • Experience in Federal laws in the consumer financial area
  • Significant experience with compliance programs.
  • Strong writing capabilities
  • Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex organizational environments.
  Computer Software/Hardware: Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe AcrobatLexis Nexis Physical Requirements:  Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, talking, hearing constantly.Occasionally lift up to 5-7 lbs. on occasionMust be able to sit in front of computer monitor (s) dailySitting and or standing for long periods of time.Noise level: moderate noise level daily in an office atmosphere.
