Job Description:

Virgin Islands Behavioral Services (VIBS), a 30-bed behavioral health facility, with out-patient programs and an educational component, has been providing quality health care to the residents of the Virgin Islands since 1995. Programs are located on St. Croix, along with an out-patient program on St. Thomas. An interesting and challenging experience awaits you as an employee of VIBS. You will join a group of talented, caring professionals, all committed to providing the best in quality care to our diverse resident population.

Position Summary:

Virgin Islands Behavioral Services currently has a Case Manager position available on St. Thomas. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

1. Conducts weekly client visits at home, school, work, or related sites as assigned.
2. Coordinates with various service providers to ensure fulfillment of the client’s needs.
3. Completes Individual Treatment Plans and ensured all goals and objectives are met.


Skills Required

The following are the job requirements for the Case Manager position on St. Thomas:

1. Associate degree in criminal justice, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
2. At least one year work-related experience with children or adolescents required.
3. Familiarity with pre-delinquent and delinquent court procedures.
4. Bilingual applicant preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make one’s self understood to all individuals.

Currently running several programs that provide respite care for children in foster care who are in crisis. The therapeutic environment fosters positive self-esteem, respect for others and acceptance of responsibility for one's behavior.

VIBS also provides a secure treatment environment for severely traumatized and extremely impulsive adolescent females.
