Job Title: Medical Records Clerk (Government Contractor)
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Location: Kingshill, St. Croix (US Virgin Islands Army National Guard)
Start Date: Immediate Opening/Hire
Who May Apply: All U.S. Citizens

Key Requirement: Must possess a security clearance; OR be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

The incumbent of this position will provide support to the Deputy State Surgeon, US Virgin Islands Army National Guard . As Medical Records Clerk, the incumbent will perform the following tasks:

- Assist the Deputy State Surgeon (DSS) with the implementation and administration of medical supplies, which include coordinating and providing guidance to all customers of medical services both within and beyond state control.
- Track and coordinate all state medical records; scan and index all state medical records.
- Coordinate medical records transactions (pick-ups and deliveries); review records for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) duties, which includes but is not limited to: compiling packets, pulling records, compiling individual medical record (IMR) print-outs, creating data spreadsheets, distributing/tracking records at the event and forwarding records to the mobilization station.
- Gathers and analyzes data, submits reports to the DSS as required and identifies systematic problems for resolution.
- Handle all of the information from the databases containing personnel Privacy Act and HIPPA protected information as sensitive data and comply with provisions established by those regulations.

 

Other: Preference: Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following qualifications:

- Active or former member of the United States military.
- Strong knowledge, skills and abilities in health management.
- Experience tracking and compiling medical records.
- Resident of the Virgin Islands.
