Job Description:

Cruzan Rum Distillery is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety professional to provide leadership and direction in the administration of the facility EHS programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and corporate procedures.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Ownership of all EHS programs
  • Proactive driving of EHS initiatives
  • Incident and claims management
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Project management including management of third party resources 

 

Skills Required

Minimum requirements:

 

  • Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety/safety engineering
  • 3 years experience in health and safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization

 

 

Preferred experience:

 

  • ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 auditor certification
  • Continuous improvement programs
  •  Behavioral based safety
  • Lean manufacturing
  • 5S
  • CSP certification
