Job Description:

Organization

Founded in 2012 Patient Assist VI, Inc. (PAVI) is a nonprofit whose mission is to help patients attain prescription drug medications that would otherwise be unattainable due to income limitations. This program helps provide medications for chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, hyper-tension, hyperlipidemia and others, as requested. Currently services are provided on the islands of St. Thomas and St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Annual revenues: currently up to $100,000

We do this by working with the patient and the prescribing physician to obtain prescription medication available through pharmaceutical companies’ patient assist programs. Patients interact with representatives from PAVI who gather information, determine eligibility and resources for their medication needs. Applications for each medication are then completed. PAVI interfaces with physicians in order to secure signatures and any additional documentation and process the application to applicable pharmaceutical company that manufactures the patients’ prescriptions. We also interface with pharmaceutical companies to ensure that it is up to date on current guidelines and helps patients with refills and renewals. Pharmaceutical companies send medications directly to the patient, and in some cases medications are sent to the physician’s office (insulin).
