Job Description:

The Lead Facility Maintenance Worker will collaborate with the Field Supervisor to ensure the successful implementation of assigned responsibilities and the attainment of company goals.

As the Lead Facility Maintenance Worker, you will oversee, manage, and participate in various tasks, including, but not limited to, regular preventive maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, performing landscaping tasks, and upkeeping the facility grounds and designated areas along with the following:
 
* Oversee the arrangement and management of the work site, ensuring that all aspects are organized efficiently, while also overseeing the coordination and performance of the team members involved in the project.
 
*Coordinate, oversee, and work with the team, while prioritizing the health and safety of workers, especially during pesticide application, in high-temperature work environments, even rocky or uneven grounds to reduce the likelihood of heat-related illnesses or injury caused by hazards in any workplace.
 
*Oversee and operate landscaping equipment on the site, which includes riding lawn mowers, string trimmers, handheld power tools, non-powered tools, and heavy machinery such as tractor, backhoe loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and various other maintenance equipment.
 
*Conduct daily inspections of the company tools and machinery, ensuring that the usage and condition of the equipment are logged, and that preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) are performed.
 
*Oversee and perform repairs and regular maintenance on machinery and equipment, while also establishing preventative maintenance procedures for machinery and equipment.
 
*Oversee and engage in the process of ensuring that all company vehicles and machinery are cleaned, vacuumed, and washed at specified intervals.
 
*Conduct and participate in safety meetings to guarantee that employees adhere to safety policies and procedures, and confirm that they are utilizing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for their specific tasks.
 
*Maintain the facility grounds effectively and conduct regular inspections of designated work areas to uphold the required standards.
 
*Operate company vehicles and machinery to deliver site maintenance services. Occasionally, you may be required to escort individuals on-site who do not possess a TWIC.
 
*Oversee the repair and maintenance of property walkways and parking areas.
 
*Organize, oversee, and work with different departments and contractors as needed to effectively execute and complete site projects.
 
*Prepare and submit reports using Word, Excel, and PDF formats, ensuring compliance with specified deadlines, while also managing documents, receipts, and records as necessary.

*Submit requests and requisitions for supplies, tools, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other necessary logistics, and distribute them to crew members upon receipt.
 
*Assist leadership by providing insights or suggestions concerning the landscaping strategy and other site maintenance efforts.
 
*Participate in site management meetings and any other relevant gatherings as required.
 
*May be assigned to participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
 
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
* May be assigned to participate in special projects. 
* Implement pesticides program.  


Skills Required

QUALIFICATIONS:  
* EXPERIENCE -- A minimum of five (5) years handling tools, heavy equipment, landscaping machinery in a related industry. Must have knowledge of occupational hazards, pesticides use and safety rules.  
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT & ORGANIZATION - A minimum of two (2) years leadership experience, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.  
* COMMUNICATIONS - Ability to communicate with all crews and other levels of the organization.  
* PROBLEM-SOLVING -- Exhibits conflict resolution skills. Analyzes information and chooses the best solutions and evaluates results.  
* COMPUTER LITERATE - Intermediate experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  

REQUIRED  
* The Facility Maintenance Worker must have knowledge and proven competency with safety and current regulations and practices.  
* Must have hands-on experience and maintenance knowledge of small tools & equipment.  
* Must have knowledge of document preparation such as timesheet, JSA, permits etc.  
* Must be capable of effective communication with all levels of the organization.  
* Must have knowledge of pesticide application and storage.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS  
* High School Diploma or GED is a plus  
* Active TWIC card  
* Valid Driver's License 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

* Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.  
* Respiratory Protection Fit-Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing is required.  
* Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful.  
* Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., unassisted.  
* Good manual dexterity for the use of common hand tools, power tools and the ability to navigate around obstacles in a petrochemical environment is necessary.  
* Some tasks may be required to be performed regardless of weather conditions.  
* Will be exposed to loud noise, machinery with moving parts, dirt, dust, debris, chemicals, and foul odors.  
* Medical examinations, such as Fitness for Duty exams may be required
